Like that well-known saying… ‘If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it!’ Gretsch has shifted gear by adding the 302 steel hoop to the new Renown drums, the same hoops found on the much loved Brooklyn and Broadkaster drum. The Gretsch 302 hoops are often referred to as player-friendly as they produce a focused sound similar to what can be heard from a die cast hoop but are lighter in weight and less ridged, resulting in an all round better performance.
